How often you should Wash your Car

Owning a car is a great achievement and many people have different models and designs of cars. The owner always wants to keep the car as new as it was, but sometimes, it becomes a challenging task when it comes to the cleaning of the possession. Cleaning of a car is unavoidable and what matters is how often do you clean yours.

Some people clean their cars once per week, once a month or frequently and this task is affected by how you live and your location. There are those individuals who travel a lot and their daily schedules are congested hence one may be forced to clean his or her car frequently and sometimes once per week. For instance, a celebrity will always ensure his or her car is clean to prevent dirt from building up on the car and he or she should bring out the good personality. Regular travel on open roads can expose your essential car into dust and mud. When dust and grit builds up in the windows of your car, it can cause scratches and cracks on the windows or the car may start to lose the painting hence frequent or regular washing can preserve you car.

The location of the car owner can also influence the cleaning routine, because if you live in coastal areas, you will be required to clean your car regularly or as many times as possible within a month. This is because salt air and other dirt from the coast can affect the car if you don’t wash often. Salt from the sea air when it combines with water it can cause rust and it is very corrosive when in contact with metals. Those who live near industries should also clean their vehicles frequently as chemical particles may build up in the car and destroy its body and the paintwork. Hence, it will be discouraging if your car loses its quality when you can solve the problem by washing.

Tips for washing your car

If you wash your car whether once per week or once per month, there are things you should know and consider before your start the chore and they are;

• You should always consider the value of your car and ensure you spend extra money by purchasing the best cleaning products like wax, shampoo and you should also use the best washing materials like microfiber wash mitt and follow the washing instructions properly.

• You should always use clean water when washing the car. You should begin at the roof and then proceed to other parts of the car.

• As you wash, you should ensure that you don’t transfer the dirt back onto the car hence rinse the microfiber wash mitt with clean water properly before you use it to wash or wipe any section of the car.

• After cleaning and drying the water with the microfiber wash mitt, you can now park the car in the sun to finish drying.

• Lastly, if you have not applied wax to your car for along time, you can give it a good wax so that it can retain it original looks.
